Hello + welcome - I am so glad you are here!
My name is Lindsay Johnson and I am the creator behind Handcrafted by Elle & Bee. I am a unit clerk, certified payroll practitioner, lash technician, certified level I spin instructor, road cycling enthusiast & the craziest cat lady.
As you can tell by now, I love to learn new skills + explore different paths! Since I was a young girl, my mom used to do a lot of wood working and crafts. On the weekends we would help (my sister and I) with sanding or staining and at the time I would think “do we have to?” and always steered clear of the crafty//handywoman side of things. It wasn’t until my late twenties when I thought to myself “I could make this” to a sign that I had seen.
As with all things, I jumped in with both feet and slowly started purchasing power tools until I had a workshop full. I make all my signs and items from scratch. I cut the wood (with some help from my mom at times), sand it, prime, paint, design .. all the way to the finished product. Creating these items for you guys gives me so much joy! It’s truly been the calm through this COVID storm.
